“This is a video of my son seeing his daddy for the first time after his deployment. My husband is in the National Guard and was deployed to Iraq for 8 months. My son, Luke, had no idea we were surprising him that day. He has high-functioning autism, so his display of emotion meant that much more. I don’t know how he could’ve handled being surprised by his dad in front of a school or classroom full of people. It made it so much sweeter to me to just see him and his daddy.
